CASE STUDY #2 – State Transition Testing
Data: When a door lock is controlled by swiping a magnetised card through a slot in the lock. When the door is unlocked, it can be opened. Here are some of the trials for your information:
Swiping a valid card once through the lock causes an indicator light to flash green for two seconds but the door remains unlocked
Swiping a valid card through the lock for the second time while the indicator light is flashing green causes the indicator light to flash alternatively red and green for two seconds, and then the door is locked. The door can be unlocked by repeating this process (i.e. swiping a valid card twice within two seconds)
Swiping an invalid card when the indicator light is OFF causes the indicator light to flash red for two seconds.
Swiping an invalid card when the indicator light is flashing causes no effect
Problem Statement:
1. Draw the state transition graph for the door lock described above. There are 3 unique events and 8 unique states. 
2. Number each of the transitions in your state transition graph and using these numbers list all of the transition pairs that would need to be covered to achieve 100% Chow’s 1-switch coverage
